Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review The Greatest Salesman in the World is a tiny book, and it is a treasure. First published in 1968, Og Mandino's classic remains an invaluable guide to a philosophy of salesmanship. Mandino's clear, simple writing style supports his purpose: to make the principles of sales known to a wide audience. A parable set in the time just prior to Christianity, The Greatest Salesman in the World weaves mythology with spirituality into a much needed message of inspiration in this culture of self-promotion. Mandino believes that to be a good salesperson, you must believe in yourself and the work you are doing. It is a simple but profound spiritual philosophy about how to succeed in the world's marketplace, easily understood and easy to take to heart. --Jodie Buller

The Biggest Little Book Ever. March 9, 2010 Robert E. Griswold (Bonita Springs, FL) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a little book...only about 111 pages, but as the saying goes, good things come in small packages.
I first read it in 1968, the year it was published. I have kept it all these years, and can still feel its impact. Og Mandino's writing style is unique and, for lack of a better term, enchanting. He makes you feel and utilize the most powerful force in the universe, love.
You'll also learn your actions can influence your thoughts and feelings, the power of laughter, and how to overcome procrastination. Will it make you a better salesperson? Yes. But more than that it will change the way you look at the world in a profound, healthy way.
Although the book has a spiritual message, those who have an aversion to religious dogma should not have a problem with Mandino's words. Rather I think you will find "The Greatest Salesman in the World" to be positive, inspiring, motivating, and perhaps even magical. It's definitely a classic. Five Stars.

I am not particularly happy about the 2 1/2 weeks it took to receive the book but overall, the book is amazing! I think next time I will just go to Borders.
